To emulate you Father would be no easy task
For you are my everything my present, my future, my past
Even when I'm not at my best your love is never ending
Forgiveness, patience, and understanding,
The message your always sending
When the struggles of life got hard
sometimes you gave all you had to give
You set an example by being a man
and showing me how to live
"Put God first", you 'd often say
and "Lean on Him and pray"
That advice you gave me Daddy,
is what guides my life today
Thank you for loving and caring for me
