Christmas has become so commercialized
That its lost so much of its meaning
A day set aside to honor Christ
Is no longer about giving but receiving
We’ve replaced Jesus Christ with food and gifts
And with catching a bargain or sale
We’ve forgot that He shed His blood for us
Or that His flesh was pierced with nails
We put up trees and adorn them so
And place stars upon their tops
But we fail to mention how thorns tore His flesh
And with lashings He bled nonstop
Yes Christmas has somehow lost its meaning
To shopping and decorations
But remember this day is to honor Him
The one who died for our salvation
Remembering Christ This Christmas
"Wherever your treasure is, there your heart and thoughts will also be."
