Who would think such a precious child
would someday pay the price
He would be made to die for the sins of the world
To ensure us eternal life
It’s hard to envision such little hands
Would one day be nailed to a cross
Or that this little child would be spat upon
So not one soul would have to be lost
Can you picture Him as a child
Wearing a halo filled with thorns
As a little boy with arms stretched wide
With his flesh bruised, ripped and torn
Imagine such a little child
With a heart that’s so forgiving
That He looks to His Father and utters the words
Forgive them for they know not what they’re doing
It’s this little child who became a man
Who was sent to lead the way
The sacrifice of a precious lamb
That we honor on Christmas day
